Emirates (EK/UAE) is a full-service network airline based in United Arab Emirates, founded in 1985. It operates from its hub at DXB, where much of its connecting network is built.

It is not aligned with one of the three global airline alliances, so connections are usually booked directly on its own network rather than through alliance partners — worth checking if your itinerary would otherwise rely on partner carriers.
